Janome's 1600P-QC is the fastest sewing machine on the market. With a sewing speed of 1,600 stitches in 60 seconds, this heavy-duty machine is perfect for machine quilting. Complete all your sewing projects quickly and with ease. The extra-wide work area offers 8-7/8" by 5-1/2" of usable workspace. The 1600P-QC offers a side-loading bobbin, automatic thread cutter, and an ergonomic knee lifter, among its many luxury features. Adjustable Knee Lift

The ergonomic knee lifter controls the presser foot bar while you guide the fabric through the machine. This feature comes in handy when quilting and sewing patchwork. This unique knee lifter can be adjusted to fit the knee of the sewist.

Convenient Buttons

This high-speed, straight-stitch machine includes multiple one-touch buttons that enhance your sewing experience. The 1600P-QC has a speed control slider that allows you to sew at three speeds: low, medium, and high. A memorized needle up/down button that's great for sewing curved seams and turning corners. Lastly, you also have an automatic thread cutter button that will cut both the bobbin and needle thread, saving you time and thread.

Straight Stitch Machine

The 1600P-QC is a high-speed, straight stitch-only machine. With 1,600 stitches per minute, this heavy-duty machine is perfect for free-motion quilting and general construction.

Extra High Presser Foot Lift

Easily sew multiple layers of thick fabric using the extra high presser foot lift feature. This helpful tool is great for sewing quilt layers or multiple layers of fabric like denim. You can also adjust your presser foot pressure. The 1600P-QC foot can exert up to 11 pounds of pressure on your material, ensuring a more consistent feed.

Work Space

Janome's 1600P-QC has a generous workspace that easily allows you to sew large projects. You have 8-7/8" by 5-1/2" of space to work with to the right of the needle. With all this space, you can easily use the 1600P-QC with most quilting frames.

REVERSE LEVER

Use the reverse stitch lever on the 1600P-QC to secure your stitches. This feature is great at stopping your ends from fraying or unraveling. To use this button, hold down the reverse stitch lever, and your machine will sew in reverse and reinforce your stitches.

Side Loading Bobbin

As with most quilting machines, the 1600P-QC has a side-loading bobbin that makes for easy replacement. It uses L-style bobbins that hold more thread so that you can go longer between bobbin replacements. To access the bobbin while sewing, the machine has a sliding plate that allows convenient access to remove and load bobbins.

Industrial Pretension Threading

Effortlessly achieve perfect stitches on this heavy-duty machine with its industrial pretension threading. This helpful feature allows you to adjust the tension according to the thread and material you are using and prevent fewer thread breaks. You can also change the stitch length with the easy-to-see dial.
