The vacuum/attachments would work well if you only have hardwood floors or very small rugs. This model does not work well on carpets or with pet hair. Hair got completely stuck and wrapped around the spinning brush on the turbo head on the first use. The description indicates works well on soft to medium pile carpet, we have medium pike carpet. I tried to return the product but was told vacuums can’t be returned and are exchange only, despite the website advertising “hassle free returns.”
Upon my attempt to return I was also told this model was, “best used for hard services, area rugs, and low pile carpets. It would have a hard time on regular carpet.”
I was told I could exchange this one for another recommended model (double the price of this one). I asked for clarification on if the recommended model would work well on carpet/with pets to see if it would work for our needs before spending another almost $500 on something that I still couldn’t return. I was given multiple item descriptions from the Miele website to look through for my original product compared to the one they recommended and another model.
Given that I found out via email when I attempted to return my initial purchase that it didn’t fit the item description on the listing, I didn’t feel like the item descriptions I was provided would accurately represent the products and I would be out on almost $1000 with products that didn’t work for us so weren’t fully functional compared to the item description.
I would avoid this model if you have pets or carpets or unless you’re 100% sure you’re going to keep this and not attempt to return.
I was disappointed given what was advertised both for the product itself and the return policy. I understand some products might be exchange only but this should be clearly noted so people don’t waste money. I likely would not have gone through with my original purchase if I was aware of this policy. I also feel like the item description didn’t accurately represent the product, which is frustrating given the price.
