This season, we are donating the flannel scent hearts in your box to Project Sweet Peas. Parents in the NICU can wear these hearts to absorb their scent, which helps soothe their babies and promotes bonding, even when parents cannot be at the bedside.

Bonding Scent Hearts Looking for a way to volunteer your sewing skills?  ​Help us promote parent & infant bonding in the NICU by sewing bonding scent hearts!

These 100% cotton flannel scent hearts are given to NICU parents to wear next to their skin, absorbing their scents. The hearts are taken to the NICU and placed next to the infant where they can be soothed by their parent's scent and aid in bonding, even when parent cannot be at the bedside. They are provided in sets of two to allow the hearts to be switched out as needed. 

​Scent hearts should be made from 100% cotton flannel and measure approximately 5 inches by 5 inches. 

All handmade items should be made in a clean, smoke‐free, pet‐free environment.
