Not well paced, not concentrating on the project

I’m really frustrated with this class and I think others are too.
Here are some of the issues:
Students were setting up their machines on the first day before even being told that they’re sewing machines are not necessary on the first day. Why not? Told to buy needles that we didn’t even need. This was shown on the website. Didn’t realize that the pattern could be different from what was “required.” In fact, teacher didn’t even have the same pattern on hand. First three hours, basically the first day, was all spent on talking about fabric and where you could buy them, and patterns. Even being told that there’s two way stretch and for waist stretch, but then not being able to differentiate what makes it too way and what makes it four way. There are 1 million fabrics out there. Why are we looking at a few samples and having lengthy discussions about them? In other words, totally useless information that I could just look up online and not attend a class for. I don’t need to attend a class full of lectures and then just be told to go home and cut out my pattern. I need to have adjustments on my pattern. Teacher should give a general lecture briefly on how to read the patterns and make adjustments and then go around and help everybody. It’s a shock that you guys have no cutting mats, except for two that don’t even fit all the fabric on them. No curve rulers and other essential tools. No must bring tools vs. What is provided. No way to contact the teacher in advance (email, phone). After the second class, I don’t even have any fabric cut. There’s only one more class. There’s too many people in the class for one teacher. Everybody is asking questions and so it’s difficult to get help . A large part is because there’s so much talking about fabric and other irrelevant things and no time to actually get down to working on your T-shirt. Please just revamp this course series. The only thing I care about is working on my project and getting it done in the classroom and not trying to figure everything out at home and finishing it at home because then I don’t need your class. I need help getting started, I need help interpreting the pattern and adjusting it, I need help with the steps to sewing it. If I need interfacing or anything else, I don’t want to be told in the middle of the class sessions, because then I don’t have time to shop for it. This class series is a disaster. You have really lost a site about what it’s like to be a beginning sewer. Just help me get through my projects. I just need to understand the most important principles. Stop talking about the fabric in general already. A pattern already recommends fabrics. I can just go to the fabric store and ask about them and look at them there. And if I have any questions, it would be nice to be able to contact the teacher in advance of the class. Just remember the beginning sewist is at your class for. Walk me through to doing things. And it’s just unbelievable. There aren’t enough tables where you can lay things out. Basic garment tools like tailor’s ham or curve rulers. Seems like you guys are not ready to teach these classes. I want all my class time to be productive and not just wasted talk.
