Whirligig Garden an Applique Wonder by Ellen Schmidt
If whirligigs grew in your garden and bloomed like flowers, they might look like this! Three pieced blocks create the background for the four whimsical whirligig appliques.
During this two-day, focused workshop, time will be devoted to learning the variety of techniques used to create the applique shapes including:
- Turned-edge applique
- Faced applique
- Raw-edge, fused applique
Demonstrations exploring machine applique will inspire you with creative, decorative options for securing the whirligigs. Learn techniques such as burying thread tails, using invisible thread, Dresden rulers and more while attending the applique wonder workshop.
The class fee includes the pattern with over a dozen written tutorials and videos. Whirligig Garden was designed and the pattern written by Ellen Schmidt, a pattern writer and content creator for Quilters Select.
