Bernina Stitch Plate SS CW 5 Series

The stitch plate, also known as a needle or throat plate, covers
the stitching area of a sewing machine, leaving the feed dog
exposed and an opening for the needle. BERNINA stitch plates
are easily removable without the use of tools for ease in cleaning
the feed dog area.
Each machine comes equipped with a stitch plate designed for
the widest stitch available on that particular model – 5.5 or 9 mm.
Other stitch plates are optional accessories that accommodate
specific accessories and/or are used for certain techniques.
The stitch plates are color-coded at the center upper edge for
easy, at-a-glance recognition.

The CutWork/straight stitch needle plate is a professional tool for cutting straight lines cleanly and precisely. It is also suitable for straight stitch jobs, both large and small. It guarantees precise stitch formation when straight stitching, ensuring clean, attractive sewing work. Because it stabilizes and guides the fabric, the CutWork / straight stitch needle plate is also suitable for various types of embroidery work and other challenging sewing projects such as patchwork.
