PUSH-BUTTON FEATURES
These eight operational controls give you more freedom to focus on your project. Raise and lower the needle or presser foot, cut threads, reinforce stitches, and reverse your sewing with the push of a button. You can even program the needle up/down feature. Eliminate interruptions by choosing whether to have your needle start in the up or down position. It's the perfect option for chain piecing and appliqué. Plus, it makes your projects faster!

Baby Lock's Aerial is loaded with 757 stitches, giving you plenty of options for every project. Choose from 138 utility stitches with 14 one-step buttonholes, 442 decorative stitches, 20 satin stitches, 77 decorative satin stitches, 17 cross stitches, and 63 combinable utility stitches. Best of all, you can combine them for countless stitch combinations and save them in memory to retrieve them at any time.
262 BUILT-IN EMBROIDERY DESIGNS
You'll always have something to embroider with Aerial's broad selection of built-in embroidery designs. Everything is included, from florals, animals, novelties, holiday themes, and much more. The library features large thumbnails to make finding the right match even easier.
Knee Lifter
Keep both hands available while quilting; the Aerial has a presser foot knee lifter. The knee lifter allows you to raise and lower the presser foot with your knee, giving you more control of your fabric. Start and stop your sewing without ever taking your eyes or hands off your project.
Embroidery Editing Functions
The Aerial is packed with advanced editing features for your embroidery designs. You can resize designs up 20% or down 10%, auto baste, color sort on the border, monochrome, duplicate, and more. With all these editing functions, you can customize your design as much as you wish. The Aerial also has character/text array functions, mirror imaging, pattern rotation, and more.
Automatic Fabric Sensor System
The thickness of the fabric is automatically detected, and the presser foot pressure is automatically adjusted with an internal sensor while sewing to ensure that your material is fed smoothly. The fabric sensor system works continuously while sewing and is especially useful for sewing over thick seams.
ENHANCED STADIUM LIGHTING
You won't miss a stitch with the high-powered color-rendering LEDs. Every detail on your embroidery projects will be lit up, and these bright LEDs will reduce eye strain and fatigue. The Stadium Lights illuminate a 10" area around the needle.
NEVE RMISS AUTOMATIC NEEDLE THREADER
The Aerial features Baby Lock's NeverMiss needle threader. With all the color changes you'll be doing while creating stunning embroidery, it's a feature you definitely need. LARGE WORKSPACE

7" LCD COLOR TOUCHSCREEN
The large, color LCD vividly displays embroidery designs and makes it easy to change your machine settings. From this screen, you can control every aspect of your project. Choose or change stitches, embroidery designs, placements, colors, and more. This screen measures 7" diagonally and shows up to 260,000 colors, so you will know what your designs really look like before you sew.
QUICK-SET, TOP-LOADING BOBBIN
Changing your Class 15 bobbin became more manageable on the Baby Lock Aerial. This sewing and quilting machine features a built-in bobbin winder as well as a quick-set feature. All you have to do is drop your bobbin into the machine and guide your thread through the slot, and the machine will take care of the rest.
8" X 12" EMBROIDERY FIELD
The Aerial allows you to embroider oversized designs with less re-hooping with its large 8" by 12" embroidery field and capability to accommodate 500,000 stitches in a single hooping. The machine includes two hoops: 8" x 12" and a 5" x 7".
IQ TECHNOLOGY
Your Aerial is equipped with IQ Technology that makes sewing easy, no matter what you want to create. The automatic sensors make everything a breeze. There are thread tension controls that make tension adjustments for accurate stitches, upper and lower thread sensors to alert you when threads run out, and an on-screen hoop sensor to recommend the correct sized hoop.
Storage / Free Arm
Remove the auxiliary bed in the Aerial to access the free arm or lower your feed dogs. This narrow arm is used to hem cylindrical textiles such as shirt sleeves and pant legs. The auxiliary bed also doubles as a storage compartment. In this spacious area, you can store extra presser feet, bobbins, needles, seam rippers, and more.

What is the maximum embroidery hoop size for the Aerial?
The Aerial features a generous 8" x 12" embroidery field, which reduces the need for constant re-hooping. It also comes with 5" x 7" hoops for everyday use.
How do I switch between sewing and embroidery modes?
To transition, simply go to your homepage screen and tap the desired function (sewing or embroidery). The machine will automatically move the embroidery unit out of the way, even if it stays attached. You will, however, need to switch your presser foot from the embroidery foot to a standard foot.
