300 Built-in Stitches
The Baby Lock Soprano is equipped with 300 decorative and functional stitches, providing creative options for any project; including 99 utility stitches with 10 one-step buttonholes, 94 decorative stitches, 17 satin stitches, 18 decorative satin stitches, 14 cross stitches, 58 combinable utility stitches, and 5 built-in alphabets. You'll find a variety of decorative and functional stitches for any project. Save favorite stitches with custom settings in the Soprano's built-in stitch memory.
User-Friendly LCD Screen
With the illuminated 3.31" by 1.75" LCD screen, you can discover the perfect stitches that complement any design. The user-friendly operation panel allows you to adjust and edit stitch selections by choosing from the 300 built-in stitches or creating specialty stitches by combining stitch patterns. When a stitch is selected, the icon for the presser foot that should be used appears on the screen. The LCD screen also displays the stitching category, number, preview of the selected stitch, needle position, single/repeat sewing, horizontal mirroring, stitch width, stitch length, and thread tension setting.
850 Stitches Per Minute
Start and complete more projects efficiently with up to 850 stitches per minute. You can hem pants/sleeves, sew quilts, create home decor, and more with the Baby Lock Soprano! You can even experiment with free-motion sewing/quilting by using the feed dog position switch to lower the feed dogs.
Convenient One-Touch Buttons
The Baby Lock Soprano features 7 convenient operation buttons across the center of the machine. Press the Start/Stop button to start and stop the machine with the touch of a finger. The Reverse Stitch button, when held down, will sew reverse stitches at a low speed. The Reinforcement Stitch button creates a single stitch repeatedly and ties off. The Needle Position button raises or lowers the needle. The Thread Cutter Button simultaneously cuts the upper and bobbin threads. The Presser Foot Lifter button raises the presser foot up and lowers it down, applying pressure to the fabric. Lastly, the Sewing Speed slider adjusts the sewing speed for maximum comfort.
8.3" to the Right of Needle
Working on a hefty project or a larger quilt? Not a problem! The Soprano has a vast workspace of 8.3" to the right of the needle that offers you plenty of room to work comfortably with bulk. Add on the 21" by 13" extension table (included) to expand your work area even more!
Advanced Needle Threader
Do away with hand threading! The Advanced Needle Threader is so convenient you can do it effortlessly with just one hand. Simply slide the thread through the thread guide, pull the threader downward until it clicks, and then push the lever back up to its starting position. Carefully pull the end of the thread that passed through the eye of the needle, and you have just successfully threaded your needle.
Quick-Set, Top Loading Bobbin
Changing your bobbins just got easier with the quick-set feature. All you have to do is drop your wound bobbin into the machine, guide your thread through the groove, and the Soprano will take care of everything else for you when you begin sewing.
Advanced Pivoting Feature | Automatic Fabric Sensor System
The Baby Lock Soprano Sewing and Quilting Machine incorporates an Advanced Pivoting Feature and an Automatic Fabric Sensor System. The Advanced Pivoting Feature provides ease when turning corners, following curves, and maneuvering around applique shapes. Pivot your fabric without interrupting your work by selecting the pivot key. The machine will stop with the needle lowered, and the presser foot will automatically raise to a suitable height allowing you to rotate your fabric without resistance.
The Automatic Fabric Sensor System continuously detects the fabric's thickness, adjusting the presser foot pressure and thread tension with an internal sensor while sewing. This feature is useful for sewing over thick seams or quilting.

The Baby Lock Soprano Embroidery Machine comes with a factory warranty, which gives you the ultimate peace of mind with your purchase. Ten (10) years covers your machine from defective mechanical parts due to flaws in workmanship and materials, excluding normally expendable parts. Two (2) years cover your device from defects in the electrical equipment. One (1) year covers it from defects in the electronic circuit boards, and one (1) year of free warranty labor by an Authorized Baby Lock Retailer.
