Bachelorette Party Bags
When my sister got engaged and asked me to be her maid of honor, I could not help but think about all of the bridal sewing projects I can make for her! I love making pretty yet practical sewing projects that anyone can use.
Here's What You'll Need:
Sweet Pea Leather in Embossed Cream
Sweet Pea #3 White and Gold Zippers
Cotton fabric for lining
Schmetz Chrome Embroidery Needles 90/14
Schmetz Chrome Microtex Needles 90/14
Wonder Clips
Baby Lock Solaris Vision 3 for embroidering
So, to kick off her bridal shower, I decided to make these toiletry bags as favors for all of the girls in her wedding party.
They are the perfect size for holding both skincare and makeup products, plus they are personalized with each person's initials!
In addition to the personalized toiletry bags, I of course had to make a “MRS” purse for the soon to be Mrs!
Instead of boxing corners and adding a zipper, I added some magnetic snap closures and D ring stud scres and voila! It became a purse instead of a zipper pouch.
Both projects took less than an hour and are the perfect combination of machine embroidery, applique and sewing so if you are looking for a gift that is not only easy to make but useful, look no further!
I had a ton of fun making both style bags and seeing everyone’s reactions to them. I can’t wait to see what the wedding guests will think of them!
