18 Built-in Sewing & Quilting Stitches
The HD3000 comes with 18 functional and decorative stitches and a one-step buttonhole stitch. The machine utilizes a thread selector dial, making it easy to switch between the different types. There is a built-in stitch guide at the top of your machine that shows you the appropriate presser foot, stitch width, stitch length, and tension setting for the stitch you are using, meaning you won't have to worry about tinkering with the settings to get the best out of your machine. This machine has a maximum stitch length of 4mm and a maximum stitch width of 6.5mm, allowing for a wide variety of fabrics and projects!
Built-In Needle Threader
A built-in needle threader is a must-have if you never want to struggle to thread a needle again. This key feature easily threads your machine in seconds- meaning you can start your projects faster and put less strain on your eyes!
Heavy-Duty Frame
Janome built the HD3000 like a rock! Over the years, some machines have incorporated less metal and more plastic on the inside. This machine was designed with an entirely metal frame to ensure maximum power and longevity! A metal body is vital for keeping the machine from vibrating while completing heavy-duty projects. A solid frame prevents skipped stitches and unnecessary wear and tear, thus increasing the life of your machine and protecting your investment.
Top-Loading Bobbin
You will never have to hassle with the 3-step process of loading a front/side facing bobbin! With a top-loading bobbin case, you just drop your bobbin in and go! That means more time and less frustration getting your machine ready to sew. The bobbin case that comes with the HD3000 is also very simple to remove, meaning easy access to the hook when it's time to clean out lint and dust.
Free-Arm
The HD3000 has a convertible surface that, when removed, reveals a free arm and reduces your work space- allowing for less difficulty when trying to sew hems or cuffs! The free arm cover has a built-in storage box to hold all of your accessories. You'll never lose any of your presser feet, bobbins, or needles because they'll be stored right in the body of your machine!
Advanced Feed System
The larger feed dog area allows for more durable stitching on a wider variety of fabric orientations so that you can trust the machine to produce cleaner seams and even stitches every time! Free-motion sewing is crucial for darning, quilting, and decorative topstitching. Whether you're patching pants or learning to stipple, drop-feed dogs is a must-have feature.
Free Hard Cover
The Janome HD3000 comes with a free hard cover for protection against the most common killer of machines: dust and lint. The cover is lightweight, making it easy to take with you to a friend's house or a sewing class.

Extra-High Presser Foot Lifter & Pressure Adjuster
This machine utilizes an Extra-High Presser Foot Lifter, which means you can lift your foot higher than most normal machines if needed. This allows you to pass multiple layers of thick fabric (we're talking 6-7 layers of heavy denim) through the feed. You can also adjust the pressure of your presser foot. If you have a hard time feeding fabric through, you can lower the pressure to create less tension, so you don't have to work as hard to push materials through the machine. If your fabric is puckering, increase the presser foot pressure! As you use your machine, you'll be able to feel the sweet spots for your specific projects.
